Piarista Gymnasium is one of the oldest public schools in the city. It belongs to the order of the same name with its mission of education for children in need.

At the outbreak of the war, teachers and volunteers set up

a daycare program for Ukrainian families who had fled to Budapest. The program developed into an educational center that helps Ukrainian kids to catch up with their studies in Hungarian schools.
